When you decide you want to do a deep clean of your house, one of the  things that you might overlook is your mattress! However, cleaning a  mattress is not a simple task. Knowing how it should be cleaned is  critical to making sure it is done properly. If it isn’t done correctly,  you can be left with a damp, smelly mattress.

1. Pre-inspection  – We will inspect the mattress for rips, tears, and spots that are  heavily soiled. This will give an expectation of what kind of cleaning  will need to be done.
2. Pre-treat – depending on what the Pre-inspection found, we may vacuum loose debris or agitate a spot treatment into the fabric.
3. Pre-spray  – Your mattress should be sprayed with a solution of mild cleaner that  is made for fine fabric. You do not want to have harsh chemicals used on  a surface you will be sleeping on.
4. Waiting – After working the  solution into the mattress, we let it sit a few minutes to let it soak  in so that it can get to work loosening the dirt.
5. Rinse –  Rinsing will remove the cleaning solution and the dirt. The tricky part  is rinsing your mattress without soaking it! We use a jetless upholstery  tool because it has excellent suction and a design that will not  over-saturate your fabric.

Using fans helps speed up the  drying time of the mattress. If you use fans, it should take between 4  and 6 hours for it to dry. If you do not use fans, it can take up to 12  hours for the mattress to dry.
